Ryan successful at Iowa

Colby Vance would put himself on the pole for the first time this season, but right off the bat, Brenden Queen would leap from his 4th starting spot to the lead. He would cruise out front for the majority of the event. Lurking in the back, though, was Charlie Ryan. The Ginger Hammer was fast in practice but funked up his qualifying lap, and so was mired deep in the field. But he would make it up from 21st to the lead, and would manage to hold off Gabe Wood, and a late challenge from Queen (who would uncharacteristically crash on his own for the first time in 2017), to collect win #3 of the season. And none too soon, as he’s been in danger of falling outside the top 20 in points. Clutch!
