Queen Goes Back-to-Back in ’17!

Heading into Homestead, Josef Miele was 15 points out of the lead held by Brenden Queen. But Queen would take the pole and Miele would start 9th. About 1/3rd of the way in with Queen showing the way, 3rd in points driver Justin Wilson would attempt to get in line behind Miele and send them both sliding through the cabbage on the back stretch. This would all but lock it up for Queen. But he wasn’t out of the woods yet. A caution on lap 43 brought up a lap 48 restart. Queen would actually start to run low on fuel, and with Josh Kotten and Greg Netherwood running him down, he would have just enough! He’d cross the line 2+ seconds ahead of Kotten and Netherwood to not only take the win but also clinch his 2nd title in a row!
